Emotions,

My emotions are like a light switch,

When I am near my ex girlfriend the light switch turns to on without consent,

I try to turn it off,

But the only time it will turn off,

Is when I step away from her,

But I don't want to step away from her,

Because at least when I'm near her I feel like a future exists for me,

When I step away the light switch turns to off,

As the demons latch onto me in the dark,

I am now just a rotting corpse walking in a crowded hallway,

Numbness is consuming me like a desert,

Then the light switch gets stuck,

My hand starts to write,

Schön,

Then narben,

I try to look up to see who has caused me to write this,

But as I do this the light switch disappears,

As my emotions balance the paper turns into my skin,

Only then do I realize that the light switch is not a light switch,

But my heart,

And the controller is not my ex,

But my mind.
